| In the context of applied bivariate point process theory, scientists have increasingly been interested in studying the spatial interaction between underlying sub-point patterns over a range of distances in order to detect potential interaction effects, e.g., the occurrence of clustering or inhibition at several critical spatial scales. This paper examines the correlation structures of bivariate spatial point processes using the second-order summary statistics, including cross pair correlation and mark connection functions. These methods are applied to real point pattern data via Monte Carlo simulation. |
